Making Indian Sign Language simple, engaging and free for everyone.
Signify is a free ISL learning platform built around interactive video lessons, quizzes, flashcards, real-life practice scenarios, gamification and AI-powered learning tools.
About me
Hi, I'm Moksh Dharamshi, an IB Diploma Programme Year 1 student with a passion for UI/UX design, communication design, graphic design, and creating technology that solves real-world problems.
I created Signify after researching the communication barriers faced by the Deaf community in India. Through conversations and interviews with deaf individuals, their families, and professionals, I realised that many hearing people want to communicate using Indian Sign Language (ISL) but don't know where to begin. Existing learning resources are often difficult to access, expensive, or not designed for beginners.
Signify was created to change that.
Our goal is to make learning Indian Sign Language simple, engaging, and accessible through interactive video lessons, quizzes, flashcards, practice scenarios, gamification, and AI-powered learning tools. By helping more people learn even the basics of ISL, we hope to make everyday communication more inclusive and bridge the communication gap between the Deaf and hearing communities.
This project began as my IB Capstone Project but has grown into something I hope will continue helping people long after the project is complete.
